Thanks to all who made the trip happen. It was a lifetime memory for all who attended, along with the families they shared it with when they got home. I as a parent really appreciate the adults who went for taking great care of our children. This web sight helps us, the families see a glimpse of what the kids got to see.

Hi to all! I finally made it into Billings Montana at 11:00pm last night. The jet lag continues for me! I wanted to thank the scouts on this trip. I enjoyed meeting them. They are a great group of young people. Also thanks to their families for sharing them with us. We had an amazing trip and I hope your scouts will go out and tell everyone they come in contact with about their trip!

Konichiwa. Valentine's Day was 39 hours long for those of us in EST, so I imagine that everyone has a bit of jet lag. I know I had a hard time teaching today and ended up taking a nap during my 20 minute lunch period. The young men and women we traveled with conducted themselves very well and made our jobs as chaperones much easier. Mr. Mazanec was an amazing leader. He had all of the scout's names memorized within 24 hours, and I believe he strived to spend quality time with each one of them. I don't know where he got his energy, but your boys and girls were very lucky to have him as the contingent leader. I also kept a blog on my classroom and troop websites, as well as posted some pictures that you can cut and paste if you like. Also, several of the scouts and leaders are posting pictures to Facebook that you may have as well. My websites are http://llamarche.webs.com and http://boyscoutsrock.webs.com

Thank you, Tom, David, Karen, and others, for taking your time to spend with our Scout(s) as they discovered a new culture. Thank you, Boy Scouts of America, for showing our young American men that it is exciting to be an American and to be a Boy Scout 24/7 for 11 days. If any of you are ever in Savannah, Georgia, please allow us to show you our Southern hospitality. Welcome, home, SAJ-BSA 2010 contingent!

It is 8 AM here in Tokyo, we are loading the bus and riding for 2 hours to Narita airport. We hope that they have shoveled the snow in Dallas! We are on our way. Most everyone will call once they have arrived and cleared customs, checked for their new flight home etc. Thanks for lending me your scouts for this trip. They have really come through for BSA in showing our Japanese Hosts what scouting means here in USA.

Hello to all the parents.

So far it has not snowed here in Tokyo yet. It has been snowing further North. Mostly rain right now. It seems I may be the only scouter with computer access. I will continue to send any messages this way. All scouts are healthy, we did have some dehydration early in the trip. But fresh fruit, and lots of water have cured that. If possible David Weerts and I will try to post some more photos etc tonight. Only 3 to go!

Thank you for the updates. It is so nice to be a part of this trip via blog and photos. My husband, daughter and I go on at different times and we can then share what we see. Thanks also for the time change info. Know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Thanks go out to all of you for the daily updates and pictures. As a parent to one of the scouts, this site lets us see what they are doing and how much they are enjoying the trip. It gives us comfort while they are so far away. I too would like to know how we could get a copy of all the great pictures.

Hey everyone, it sure looks like you guys are having a blast over in Japan, i was on two of these trips to this awesome country twice before, once in 2004 and again in 2006 with the contingent from Montana as an Eagle Scout and Silver Award. It was nice to hear that you guys are over here, i am also in Japan, at the Yokosuka Naval base serving on board the USS George Washington, CVN 73 as a Petty Officer Third Class. I hope that you take as much away from this experience as i did. Hope your all have a fantastic time!!
