Special Notice
Parents and friends,
We have heard from several of you how much you have enjoyed the daily collections of photos.
Starting today and for the rest of the trip, the daily photos will be limited to what a Blackberry can send because our hotel does not have internet service for use to use. We are hoping that when we reach our host families that we can up the pictures at that point.

Feb 9th Update
Today started with everyone being on the best behavior as we met with the Vice Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. BSA presented the Vice Minister with a book about 100 years of Scouting in America. The Vice Minister presented a very nice fan to us.
After the courtesy call the group learn about the education process within Japan. Also, learned about the school lunch program. What amazed the group was that even an ocean away school is very important to the individuals success.
Then came the long drive to our next hotel. We stop by two different temples include the Giant Budda. The cool thing about the Budda was the ability to go inside and see how it was made over 700 years ago.
Along the way we made time for shopping and stopping a McDonalds for some fries and ice cream.
That pretty much tells you what the high points of the day entailed. Until tomorrow…Good day and good night.
