CAMPOREE- The Patrol Method-Back to the Basics

October 9-10, 2009

Old Olathe Lake Golf Course

On Friday we would like you  meet at Lake Olathe by 4:45.  (You may come out later just let me know!)  If you want to ride out with Mrs. Weerts let her know.
On Friday night we will be helping with parking and helping with the Cub Scout program.  Saturday in the morning we will help with Cub Scout and do a promotion booth for Venturing.

Then in the afternoon we will join in with the program!  This year’s Camporee theme is “Back to the Basics-Camping Skills”  and there will be competitions  between the Crews to show their skills lashing, first aid, building fire, knots and teamwork! We will be brushing up on our skills at upcoming meetings.  That evening we will participate in the campfire (oh yeah don’t forget we need to do skit!)  and then the Venturing Crews will have a movie party in the parking lot area!

Sunday we will attend church service and then assist with clean up and be home by 12:00.

It should be a great time for all to give some service to scouting and then also have some fun!  The cost for this event is $21.00.  You must sign up and pay at our Sept 15th meeting as we will register the Crew at the Oct 1 Roundtable!
