Mark your calendars for July 31-August 2- for the swimming boating campout. We will leave on Friday at 6:00 to head to Mitch and Bryan's lake house. We will camp that night at the lake and the next morning we will head out to the lake to go fishing, boating, and swimming! Saturday night we will have our final campfire and head home early Sunday morning.
We are still working on the cost but it will be for meals and gas. We are anticipating around $35.00. |

Christine Samms and Shari Tunks just registered as adults with Crew 2085! We are excited to have them join us on some fun adventures!
Parents are always welcomed to attend any outings with us! As the Crew grows I may be asking parents to help with driving! Even though many of our youth are old enough to drive I prefer that when we head to events we have adults driving! That way the youth can enjoy being a part of the group and not concentrating on the driving piece! (or not be concentrating on the driving piece!)
If you want to go camping with us just let me know so I can be sure to include you in the count! It is a fun way to enjoy time with your son or daughter! And they are pretty cool kids to hang out with!
As the parents who have attended with us know the Crew is youth lead…so sometimes it may seem a little …well should I say like youth are running it! The Crew likes to have fun! And they have a great time together! Which is what makes the Crew successful! The relationships with each other are what makes the youth keep coming back! If you ever have concerns about if your youth is fitting in the group please let us know!
Mary Beth DeCock is our Committee chair and she will be notifying parents of upcoming committee meetings (once a quarter) …all parents are invited to attend the committee meetings and those registered with the Crew have a vote on any issues. If you would like to register with the Crew and have not let me know and I will get an application to you!
Please let Josh or I know if you have any questions about the Crew events or advancements available to your youth!
Thanks for all your support! Without parents supporting their child’s scouting career they would not stay as involved! |
